Water

Water has always been a desired component in garden design. Historically water was seen as sacred to life and without it we could not exist. This can be seen in the recordings of the Ancient Egyptians who placed water at the centre of their gardens, giving representation to an oasis of plenty. Although water brings many qualities to a garden it is an expensive addition to your garden. A water feature requires thought and must be an intrinsic part of the design. Consideration can then be given at the outset, before any landscaping work takes place, to ensure that the mechanics of the water feature are obscured with minimum disruption to your garden.
