Shrubs

Shrubs are a branched perennial with a persistent woody stem. A sub shrub is usually a low growing branched perennial with a soft woody stem. There is a huge variation in size amongst Genus and species of shrub. Some can resemble small trees and lend themselves well to our smaller gardens for that purpose. The growth pattern of shrubs lends them to being pruned, and trained into many different forms. Some shrubs are trained as a single stem, which may require a support frame to the plant. There are a huge number of shrubs available for every size of garden. The skill is in selecting the correct plant to the location and its contribution to the overall scheme. Design Outside has that skill and will not only take into consideration all year round interest, the flowers and foliage, but also the shrub's maintenance schedule and its suitability for the future of the garden.
